Fundraiser Time!! We need to raise money for our school and our students, so we can take part in field trips, have fun prizes, and enjoy great activities! We have a school-wide goal of $12,000 and if we meet this goal, Principal Cuellar will kiss a real PIG! I am asking for my parents to assist in the success of this fundraiser. Thank you!!
May 18: Spelling Bee: First grade will be holding a spelling bee. The top 5 spellers from each classroom will compete in a grade-level spelling bee in the MPR on May 18th. Top 5 from each class will receive an award with a certificate for a free milk shake from Baker's and the one winner will get a trophy!! So...practice, practice!!

• Classroom Wish List...If you see good deals on school supplies and treats (glue sticks, crayons, paper, pencils, fun prizes for our treasure box, etc.) please think about dontating extra to our classroom.
• Box Tops for Education...
Our class will begin collecting Box Tops (found on many food boxes and other packaging). Please cut/tear these out and have your child bring them to class!
•Attendance...
Being at school, on-time EVERY day is extremely important for your child. I encourage and challenge our class to aim for 100% attendance! I can understand the trials that life brings us, but in the best interest of your child, please strive to have your child at school each day. At school, I will strive to provide them with a focused, rigorous, and joyful academic experience.
